Knowing Christ and Making Christ Known

My First Visit

If you are planning to visit the Nappanee United Methodist Church for the first time, here is some information you might find helpful.

Where is the Church?

Nappanee United Methodist Church is located on US 6 East (Market Street). It is three blocks east of State Road 19 on the south side of the street.

Where do I park?

Our parking lot is located in back of the church building. Handicap and visitor parking spaces are available.

What will the service be like?

We offer a variety of worship, spiritual growth and service opportunities. Due to Covid-19, we currently have one worship service every Sunday morning, offering the Word of God. We also have seven different Adult Sunday School Classes which meet on Sunday mornings. In addition, Small Groups meet throughout the community fostering relationships and spiritual growth.

How long is the service?

The 10:00 service usually lasts about an hour.

What should I wear to church?

Whatever makes you comfortable. While some people dress up, others wear casual and comfortable clothes on Sunday mornings. Everyone is welcome and it is important that you feel "at home."

Where do my children go during the service?

All children can attend the worship services with their parents, but our children's ministry provides an exciting experience for our children. Nursery care is provided for infants and toddlers during the service. Playtime is available in room 204 during the 10:00 service for children ages 3-5. Worship Connection bags are available at the rear of the sanctuary for children in grades K-5.

When do I need to arrive?

Plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of Worship. Sacred Grounds, our coffee bar, is open on Sunday mornings. It is a place to welcome and provide fellowship for visitors, people looking for a church home, college students or young adults. In this setting folks are able to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee and a muffin in a relaxed friendly atmosphere.

Do I have to be a member of Nappanee United Methodist Church to take Communion?

Everyone is welcome at the communion table, whether members of Nappanee United Methodist Church or not, kids or adults.
